The Fond du Lac Rec. Dept. does not send confirmations. No news is good news! You will be contacted only if there is a problem with your registration or a change in the class. If you require a receipt, please enclose a self-addressed stamped envelope or an email address with your registration or stop by our office to pick one up.
Residents: A resident is defined as a taxpayer or a dependent of a taxpayer that resides within the Fond du Lac School District boundaries.
Non-Residents: A non-resident is defined as anyone who lives outside of the Fond du Lac School District boundaries. All non-residents are subject to a $5.00 non-resident fee.
Full refunds will only be granted for programs cancelled by the Rec. Dept. Refunds for trips and some programs will be issued only if the spot can be filled from a waiting list. In general, refunds are not issued after a program has begun.
Returned Check Policy
A $25 service charge is assessed on all checks returned due to insufficient funds.
ADA Compliance / Medical Conditions
If there is any medical condition or other information you are aware of, that could affect someone’s participation in a recreation program or activity, please contact the Rec. Dept. to discuss accommodations.
Program fees are assessed in order to defray the cost of program operation. Program fees are not pro-rated. Please plan to register prior to the indicated first class date or registration deadline.
The Fond du Lac Recreation Department assumes no responsibility for personal injuries or loss of personal property while attending Fond du Lac Recreation Department sponsored activities or facilities.
Participants registering for any class must meet the minimum age requirement prior to or on the first day the class begins. The ages are set to ensure the safety and benefit of the participants as well as the instructors.
Programs have a minimum/maximum enrollment number. If we do not meet our minimum requirement, classes will be cancelled with refunds issued or you may transfer to a different class/session. If a program is full, you will be notified and, upon request be put on a waiting list, or you will be issued a full refund.
Any participant, who desires to enroll in a class that is full, may place their name on a waiting list, although there are no guarantees for placement. The waiting list is compiled on a first come first serve basis.
Information is posted on our website under the Programs & Facility Status button. Th Rec. Dept. Hotline 906-6666 is updated ONLY if a program is cancelled/postponed. When the School District cancels school due to weather conditions, all activities will also be cancelled.
No Smoking/Alcohol use policy
The use of all tobacco products or drinking of alcoholic beverages on premises owned by the Fond du Lac School District is prohibited by state law. Your cooperation in upholding this law is appreciated and mandatory!
The Rec. Dept. occasionally uses photos of participants for promotional purposes. By registering for the program, you have granted us permission to use your photograph for promotional purposes unless otherwise noted.
The Rec. Dept instructors & staff are not responsible for supervision of youth program participants after a program is finished. For the safety of your child/ren, please make arrangements for prompt pickup from all Recreation sponsored activities, lessons or programs.
Gift Certificates are available in all denominations and may be used for all Recreation Department & Aquatic Center programs. Stop by our office to purchase your gift certificate today.
